Prizes and draws in competitions

Some buttons in this part of RIVL are only in Norwegian so far. They are written here as they appear.

The organiser can give out three kinds of prizes in a competition:

• Placement prizes go to the fastest times. If they are given per class, a class with fewer than three participants gets no placement prize.
• Draw prizes are drawn among the participants. Everyone has one ticket each.
• Participation prizes go to everyone who has completed.

Only those who have completed can get a prize. If the competition requires validation, the result must also be validated.

Teams

In a team competition, the placement prize goes to the captain of the winning team. Draw prizes and participation prizes go to each team member.

How the draw works

RIVL creates a random number that sets the order of the draw, so nobody can pick the winners. Podium prizes are not drawn; they follow the results list. In the competition, this is explained under Hvordan trekkes vinnerne? (how are the winners drawn?).

Where do I see my prize?

Open the competition. Next to the prize it says whether it is Levert av arrangøren (delivered by the organiser), Sendt til e-post (sent by email) or Leveres snart (delivered soon), and who you can contact if anything is unclear.
