Charge an entry fee: payout account

When an organisation charges for a campaign, competition or event, it needs a Stripe payout account. Participants’ payments go to that account.

Connect a payout account on getrivl.app

1. Select Billing in the menu.
2. Under Slik flyter pengene (How the money flows) and Penger inn · Deltakeravgifter (Money in · Entry fees), select Koble konto for deltakeravgifter (Connect entry-fee account).
3. Complete the setup with Stripe. If the button says Fullfør utbetalingskonto (Complete payout account), Stripe still needs something.

Once the account is ready, the page shows that it Kan ta betalt (Can accept payments) and Kan utbetale (Can make payouts). Later, use Administrer utbetalingskonto (Manage payout account) to change it.

Only the organisation’s owner and administrators can do this.

In the app

When you create a campaign or competition, you reach the Deltakeravgift (Entry fee) step. Turn on Krev deltakeravgift (Charge an entry fee). If the payout account is not ready, tap Koble Stripe (Connect Stripe) or Fullfør Stripe-oppsett (Complete Stripe setup) and finish in the browser.

Setup interrupted or payments still unavailable

Check the correct organisation and have an owner or administrator complete setup. After returning from Stripe, refresh RIVL and read both payment acceptance and payout status. Submitted details or one green status do not confirm both. Follow the remaining requirements Stripe shows for the same account. Do not create another account to resolve an unclear result. Contact support@getrivl.app with the organisation, time, visible status and any reference number if you remain stuck. Do not send identity documents or card details to support.

Private competition

If you organise the competition privately in the app, connect your own Stripe account from the Deltakeravgift (Participation fee) step. Select Koble Stripe (Connect Stripe) or Fullfør Stripe-oppsett (Complete Stripe setup), finish with Stripe and return to the same competition draft to check the status. This is linked to your RIVL account. An organisation’s account is set up by its owner or administrator.
