Services, sending and files
Last checked 1 October 2026
Use connections to import completed activities into RIVL. For a planned Coach workout, choose delivery to a service account or a file you import yourself. Read the result and check the workout at its destination.
Activities into RIVL
- Strava: Account connection in the app and on getrivl.app to import Strava activities. See Connect Strava.
- Garmin Connect: Account connection in the app and on getrivl.app to import completed Garmin activities. See Connect Garmin.
- Apple Health: Connect in the RIVL iPhone app, using an app version that supports Apple Health and the permissions you grant on your phone. The web card shows status; you cannot connect Apple Health in a browser.
- Health Connect: Connect in the RIVL Android app when the app version supports it and the necessary permissions are granted. This flow imports activities from the last seven days into active campaigns. It is different from the Apple Health import, and there is no Health Connect account connection on web.
- COROS: On getrivl.app, open Settings → Integrations, choose COROS and complete sign-in and consent at COROS. Back in RIVL, choose sync and check the result and training history. The connection imports activities, sleep, HRV and daily stress from your COROS account.
Planned sessions out of RIVL
- Garmin: Sending a planned Coach session to Garmin is a separate action. A Garmin connection for importing activities does not mean a planned session has already been sent.
- Hammerhead Karoo: Open the Coach workout export menu. For cycling, download the Karoo file and import it in Hammerhead Dashboard. For account delivery, check the send status and workout at Hammerhead before syncing Karoo.
- Zwift: Open the Coach workout on getrivl.app and download the
.zwofile from export. Import it in Zwift on Mac/PC and check the workout appears. - Zwift, Karoo and calendar: Download the format offered for the workout sport. Import
.zwoin the training service or.icsin your calendar, then check the workout and date at the destination.
See Send a session to your watch or download it for the difference between sending and downloading files.
Where to check the connection
In the app: Go to Profile → Connections. On getrivl.app: Go to Settings → Integrations. Check the status of the service you actually use. Apple Health and Health Connect are set up on your phone.
If an activity is missing or appears twice
- Check that the activity exists in the service that should send it to RIVL. Downloading a file or sending a session to a watch does not import a completed activity.
- Check that RIVL shows a connection. If the status cannot load, try refreshing the page or app view. A card alone does not mean you are connected.
- For Apple Health and Health Connect, check the RIVL app and your phone's permissions. The Health Connect flow does not import your entire training history.
- New and older activities can take time to arrive. A history import does not mean every old activity will be imported. Do not log an activity again just because it is missing during sync. The same activity can arrive through both Garmin and Strava.
If the activity is still missing or appears duplicated, contact support@getrivl.app. Include the service, activity date, app or web, and the error message you see. That is enough to start troubleshooting; do not send passwords or access codes.
The privacy policy explains what RIVL imports from services and how it is used.
Bluetooth machines
In the app you can also train with a rowing machine, SkiErg, bike, treadmill or heart rate strap connected over Bluetooth. See Connect Bluetooth machines and Train now.
